Allison Holker Honors Late Husband tWitch Two Years After His Passing
2024-12-13
Allison Holker, two years after the passing of her husband Stephen “tWitch” Boss, is paying a heartfelt tribute. On Instagram last Friday, December 13th, she shared a photo of the two of them posing with their children. The accompanying message began with “Our Angel @sir_twitch_alot is watching over us and protecting us.” She continued, “You are always on our hearts and we will always love you. We miss you Stephen. 2 years with you not here but you are always on our minds. We love you.”
After a Year of Transition
This tribute comes after a significant year of transition for the So You Think You Can Dance? judge. In October, 36-year-old Holker opened up on the Richer Lives by SoFi podcast about leaving the home she shared with tWitch. He passed away by suicide at the age of 40 in December 2022. She shared about the Encino home where she lived with the professional dancer and their children - Zaia, 5, Maddox, 8, and Weslie, 16. “That home was our security blanket for a really long time. We loved that home. It always felt so safe to us, but it did take a turn,” she said. “And a lot of people don’t talk about that after grief. It’s like I was holding on to these past emotions, thinking it was saving me, but it started to swallow us. It was a very, very big decision to uproot my children. Their lives had already been so changed.” She called moving to a new home “the final step to our healing.”Debuting a New Relationship and Announcing a Memoir
In addition to debuting a relationship with boyfriend Adam Edmunds, Holker also announced her upcoming memoir This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light, which will publish in 2025. The book will detail her love story with tWitch and the family’s healing journey after his death. “I felt like writing this book was actually very therapeutic for myself, and I didn’t know I needed it, but I did,” she told PEOPLE in September. “I needed to be able to open up and be super transparent. And I thought it was really a place for me to be super authentic with myself and honest, and a place where my kids also read about everything too, in their futures.”Social Media Tributes on Father's Day
In June, the professional dancer shared a social media tribute for tWitch on Father’s Day. “Forever missed and always loved #happyfathersday,” she wrote alongside a sweet throwback picture of Holker and her late husband posing with their three kids.If you or someone you know is considering suicide, please contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by dialing 988, text “STRENGTH” to the Crisis Text Line at 741741 or go to 988lifeline.org.
