In a heartwarming turn of events, an eight-year-old boy has been rescued after surviving nearly a week alone in Zimbabwe’s Matusadona National Park. The child, named Tinotenda Pudu, wandered away from his remote village and found himself in a perilous environment teeming with lions, elephants, and other wildlife. His survival story is nothing short of miraculous, thanks to the relentless efforts of park rangers and local community members.
The young boy had ventured 23 kilometers from home, spending nights on rocky outcrops amidst roaring lions and passing elephants. Despite the harsh conditions, he managed to subsist on wild fruits. On the fifth day, Tinotenda heard a ranger’s vehicle and ran towards it, though he missed it. However, fresh footprints led the rangers to him shortly after. The community’s drumming provided auditory guidance, offering hope and direction throughout his ordeal.

Tinotenda’s journey began when he unintentionally strayed into Matusadona National Park, known for its dense population of lions and diverse wildlife.
