Exciting changes are coming to how fans can watch Cleveland Cavaliers games. The team has entered into agreements with Rock Entertainment Sports Network, Gray Media, and FanDuel Sports Network to simulcast five upcoming matches. This collaboration stems from the league's agreement with Main Street Sports Group, which now owns FanDuel Sports Network Ohio, aiming to bring a selection of games to over-the-air television.
The games will be accessible statewide on Rock Entertainment Sports Network. For viewers in Northeast Ohio, the broadcasts will be available on WTCL-LD (Cleveland) through Spectrum channel 979 and free-to-air on channel 22.1, as well as on WUAB-43. In Columbus, fans can tune in on WDEM-17.1, while Cincinnati residents can catch the action on WOIO-19.3. Additionally, FanDuel Sports Network will also carry these broadcasts.
This broadcasting initiative underscores the commitment to enhancing fan experience. Mike Conley, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Rock Entertainment Group, and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, expressed enthusiasm about providing multiple platforms for fans to enjoy live games. The broadcast team, including play-by-play commentator John Michael and analysts Brad Daugherty and Austin Carr, will remain unchanged. Serena Winters and Cayleigh Griffin will continue their roles as sideline reporter and host of Cavaliers Live, respectively.
David Hughes, Vice President and General Manager of WOIO & WUAB, highlighted the significance of this expanded local market access. With these new broadcasting options, more fans will have the opportunity to witness the Cavaliers' remarkable season, fostering greater community engagement and support for the team.
