"Experience the Magic of Christmas Romance in Chicago"

Starring in the Holiday Romance

The two stars of "Christmas on the Ranch" were back in Chicago this week, sharing their experiences with ABC7. Jade Harlow plays Christina, a radio talk show host who is on her way to New York for a big opportunity but gets stranded in rural Ohio. Houston Rhines portrays Corey, a single dad and a widowed rancher. His life takes a turn when Christina arrives in his town.

As Harlow explains, "People identify with these Christmas rom-coms because in many of them, individuals lead busy lives and forget to prioritize themselves. They are constantly juggling multiple responsibilities for others. But then love enters the picture, accompanied by the magic of the holidays and romantic lighting."

Rhines adds, "He lost his wife and has been alone for a few years. He has been drowning himself in work to keep the ranch going. He runs equine therapy there, and he was too busy to find love until Christina came along."

The Chicago Connection

The movie was shot entirely in Chicago and the surrounding areas, and the stars couldn't be happier. Harlow said, "I don't think we could have shot this movie anywhere else. Chicago is a world-class city with the perfect cast, crew, and infrastructure to handle a production of this level. Walking around the city with the Christmas lights up gave us a sense of that magical atmosphere in December."

Despite the cold weather, Harlow had a memorable experience. She recalled, "It was four degrees that day, and there was this crazy moment on set. I was fighting for my life between two heaters, and my jacket actually melted! I was so cold that I couldn't get close enough to the heater until it was like, 'Oh no, I'm on fire!'"

The Impact and Message

Both Harlow and Rhines have a message for the viewers. Rhines said, "I want people to see this movie and feel good. I want them to realize that there are others going through similar things in life." Harlow added, "Sometimes, we face unexpected burdens in life, but it can lead to something better. It's about opening ourselves up to new possibilities."

The Walt Disney Company, the parent company of Hulu and this ABC station, is bringing this heartwarming story to audiences. With its charming characters and beautiful settings, "Christmas on the Ranch" is sure to become a holiday favorite.
