By taking part, they get the opportunity to enter a drawing for two tickets to a 2025 Red Rocks show (exclusions apply).

Goal and Funding

The initiative aims to develop a comprehensive music tourism strategy with the help of $20,000 awarded by the Colorado Tourism Office 2024-2025 Tourism Management Matching Grant. The Hall is collaborating with Mission2Market to craft a three-year plan to nurture, fortify, and advance music tourism initiatives across the state. Six regional task forces have been established, consisting of music industry leaders and tourism professionals, dedicated to identifying and prioritizing opportunities.

Survey Details for All Voices

This survey is designed to capture insights on key areas for advancing Colorado's music scene. It gathers demographic data, information on perceptions of the scene, and personal music preferences. Feedback is sought from visitors, who can share how music influences their travel experiences and decisions. Residents are encouraged to voice ideas for supporting music and cultural experiences and express their thoughts on its impact on local communities. Stakeholders such as musicians, industry professionals, local businesses, tourism professionals, and community leaders are also invited to provide their perspectives on the intersection of music and tourism. Respondents have the chance to win two tickets to a 2025 Red Rocks show by selecting a box at the end of the survey. The survey link will be available on the Colorado Music Hall of Fame website and distributed through various channels. The feedback will guide the development of a statewide action plan to strengthen Colorado as a music destination and create new opportunities.

Impact on the Music Industry and Beyond

This survey is not just about gathering data; it's about shaping the future of Colorado's music tourism initiatives. By involving visitors, residents, and stakeholders, the Hall hopes to create a more vibrant and sustainable music scene. It will help in identifying areas that need improvement and opportunities for growth. For example, it could lead to the development of new music festivals, improved infrastructure for musicians, and enhanced tourism experiences centered around music. This, in turn, will benefit the music industry, local businesses, and visitors alike, creating a win-win situation for all.

Collaboration and Partnerships

The collaboration between the Colorado Music Hall of Fame and Mission2Market is a crucial aspect of this initiative. Together, they are working towards a common goal of advancing music tourism in the state. The establishment of regional task forces ensures that the perspectives of different stakeholders are considered. This collaborative effort will lead to more effective decision-making and the implementation of strategies that have a real impact on the music scene. It also showcases the importance of partnerships in driving change and growth in the music industry.
