Concord, a city rich in culture and community, is home to many inspiring individuals. One such person is Rae Easter, the "Young Professional of the Month" as introduced by the Concord Young Professionals Network (CYPN). Let's delve into her life and work.

Discover the Artistic Journey of a Concord Native

Personal Background

Rae Easter, at the age of 29, calls Concord her home. She is the Development Manager at the Capital Center for the Arts, a position she has held for nearly two years. Her passion for development work allows her to connect with a diverse range of people. Whether it's a musical performance or a film, she firmly believes in the CCA's mission to bring high-quality entertainment to all. Working in a theater as her "office" brings an added element of fun as she gets to understand the preferences of the audience and add to their surprise and joy.

Her love for music is evident as she sings with two choirs in Concord. She is a singer in the Concord Chorale and also serves as a Board member and Chair of the Fundraising Committee. Additionally, she sings as a section leader with the choir at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. These opportunities have allowed her to be an integral part of the music community in Concord.

Educational Journey

Rae grew up in Merrimack, NH, and attended Merrimack Elementary Schools. She continued her education within the Merrimack School District and graduated from Merrimack High School. Later, she attended Endicott College in Beverly, MA, where she earned a BA in liberal studies with a minor in English.

Her educational background has equipped her with the skills and knowledge to excel in her current role and contribute to the arts community in Concord.

Favorite Places in Concord

As a morning person, Rae finds joy in the early brightness of the day. She loves to explore new coffee shops and places to have a simple breakfast. These moments allow her to start her day on a positive note and soak in the local atmosphere.

Concord offers a plethora of such places, and Rae is always on the lookout for new ones to add to her list.

Fun Activities and Hobbies

In her free time, Rae enjoys writing, running, hiking, cooking, and going to the movies. Spending time with her friends and family is also important to her, and she loves being able to share these activities with them.

These hobbies help her relax and unwind while also allowing her to explore different aspects of life.

People She Would Like to Meet

Rae expresses a desire to meet more local artists and coaches. She believes that the voices of Concord artists add so much to the community, and hearing about their creative processes would be a valuable experience.

She is eager to connect with these individuals and learn from their perspectives.

How CYPN Has Benefited Her

Rae discovered CYPN through her previous jobs and attended her first event a few years ago. Even as a new resident in Concord, CYPN helped her meet new people and step out of her comfort zone. It also provided her with insights into the various activities, events, and business opportunities available in the city.

Through CYPN, she has been able to expand her network and gain a better understanding of the local community.

CYPN is a free program of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce and hosts monthly events. The December 21st event, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at True Brew Barista, is highly recommended. Pre-registration is encouraged at concordnhchamber.com.
