Roland Møller, known for his diverse roles in films like Atomic Blonde and Skyscraper, is now set to shine in Mutiny. He is repped by CAA and Denmark's Art Management. Others newly aboard for key roles are Arnas Fedaravičius from The White Lotus and Adrian Lester from The Sandman. Fedaravičius, soon to be seen in The White Lotus Season 3 and having appeared in series like The Wheel of Time and The Last Kingdom, is repped by The Artists Partnership and Actors in Scandinavia. Lester, with credits including Disney+'s Renegade Nell and Netflix's The Sandman, is repped by ARG.
The story unfolds as Cole Reed is framed for his boss's murder and goes on the run. This sets the stage for an intense action-thriller filled with mystery and suspense. Jean-François Richet is directing from a script by Lindsay Michel and J.P. Davis, who collaborated on the recent Lionsgate action thriller Plane starring Gerard Butler and Mike Colter. Statham and his newly minted production company Punch Palace Productions are producing alongside Marc Butan under his MadRiver Pictures banner, which also worked on Plane.
Distribution and Financing
Lionsgate is distributing the film in North America, with Lauren Bixby and Scott O'Brien overseeing for the studio, and Evan Powell overseeing for MadRiver. The film marks the first venture under MadRiver Pictures' recently announced multi-year equity financing and distribution deal with international distributors. These include DeAPlaneta (Spain), Eagle Pictures (Italy), IDC Distribution (Latin America), Italia Film (Middle East), LEONINE Studios (Germany and Austria), Shochiku (Japan), SND (France), and Unicorn Media (Eastern Europe), each handling distribution in their respective territories.
Møller's recent work on the Russo Brothers' Amazon series Citadel opposite Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra has also added to his prominence. He is perhaps best known for his award-winning performance in Martin Zandvliet's Oscar-nominated post-WWII drama Land of Mine. This diverse range of projects showcases his talent and versatility as an actor.
