Overview

Drive Music Publishing Inc. plays a crucial role in the music industry by working with sub-publishers worldwide. Our royalty department is in need of a dedicated analyst who can handle various tasks with precision.

Responsibilities

In Music Maestro, the royalty analyst is responsible for catalog management, including data and tracking. They must be able to understand royalty statements from around the world and proactively identify discrepancies.

Regularly updating internal records such as song metadata and tracking transactions is a key part of the job. They also track payment and fees from licenses and assist the manager in income tracking as needed.

Interacting with clients and sources, resolving issues from error reports, and organizing company payables are additional responsibilities. Working with various departments and understanding Performing Rights Organizations worldwide is also crucial.

Researching and collecting composition and recording metadata, including split confirmation, and attending to client day-to-day projects and needs are part of the daily tasks.

Responsible for monthly/quarterly reports and supporting the onboarding process, along with data analysis, pulling reports, analytics, and creating pivot tables.

Education/Experience

A BA degree is preferred for this role. Detail-oriented candidates with strong organizational and analytical skills are ideal.

Knowledge of Performing Rights Organizations worldwide is necessary. Meeting deadlines and multitasking abilities are essential.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Comprehensive organizational, time management, and computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel, are also needed.

Having Music Maestro-Vistex experience is a plus.
