BAFTA's Triumphant Return to Beverly Hills

For the second time this year, The Maybourne Beverly Hills played host to a BAFTA tea party, a prestigious event that brought together the crème de la crème of the television industry. The affair, held on September 14th, was a testament to the enduring bond between the British Academy of Film and Television Arts and its American counterparts. "We are thrilled to be back after four years to celebrate the amazing talent and to be the home to highlight the TV awards in London in May and the Emmys in L.A.," remarked Joyce Pierpoline, Chair of BAFTA North America, as she welcomed a star-studded guest list that included the likes of Sheryl Lee Ralph, Quinta Brunson, and a host of other nominees and presenters.

MPTF's "Evening Before" Gala Shines Bright

Across town, in Century City, the Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF) hosted its 18th annual "Evening Before" benefit, a star-studded affair that raised a staggering $2.5 million. Co-chaired by a powerhouse team that included Greg Berlanti, Robbie Rogers, Jon Hamm, and Sheryl Lee Ralph, the event was a testament to the industry's commitment to supporting its own. "This incredible organization raises crucial funds and provides a host of other services for our industry family when they need it most," said Hamm, underscoring the vital role MPTF plays in providing financial assistance, crisis counseling, and caregiving support to television and film veterans.

Gifting Suites Dazzle with Luxury and Philanthropy

The pre-Emmy festivities were not limited to exclusive parties and galas. The return of the coveted gifting suites to Beverly Hills added an extra layer of excitement to the proceedings. At the GBK + MEND suite at the Beverly Wilshire, guests were treated to Incognito cannabis cocktails and a live performance by Grammy winner Elijah Blake, while Debbie Durkin's Eco Lux Lounge, held at a private estate on Carmelina Drive, saw the likes of Gilles Marini, Sofia Milos, and Joseph Gatt sipping Uka Sake and supporting Marley's Mutts Dog Rescue Ranch.

Afterparties Extend the Celebration

As the Emmy telecast drew to a close, the celebrations continued well into the night. The Walt Disney Company's afterparty saw Jimmy Kimmel and the cast of "The Bear" toasting with Johnnie Walker Blue Label cocktails and indulging in burgers inspired by cast member and Emmy-winner Ebon Moss-Bachrach and culinary producer Courtney Storer's recipes.
