The American Music Awards (AMAs) is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary with a star-studded lineup of performers and special guests. The two-hour special will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on October 6, 2024, showcasing the evolution of music and pop culture over the past five decades.

Nelly will honor the evolution of hip-hop with a performance of his greatest hits, joined by special guests Chingy, J-Kwon, and members of the St. Lunatics. Nile Rodgers & CHIC will take the stage to perform their hit "Le Freak" and the Daft Punk collaboration "Get Lucky," showcasing their legendary career. Sheila E. will join previously announced Chaka Khan in a dynamic performance celebrating 50 years of achievements by female artists at the AMAs.
