"Normally, mariachi is where my heart is, but I love listening to everything," Gonzalez explained. "My first CD, 'Aunque Sea Así,' had that kind of sound and style, and this song is about going back to that. I'm excited about this release written by me, and it's with all my heart."

The creative process behind "Quédate" was deeply personal for Gonzalez, as the song emerged from a difficult period in her life. "I had gotten out of a relationship with the father of my child, and it didn't work out. I'm happy now, in a better place mentally and emotionally. The song is about keeping all the negative, the bad, the pain, and moving forward. I went to my studio and finished it in one sitting," she revealed.

Collaborating with Talented Artists

The music video for "Quédate" was a collaborative effort, showcasing Gonzalez's ability to work with a talented team. "It's by a lake, it's so pretty there. It was very hot, but it was a great process," she said. Gonzalez collaborated with Gino Tarantino and featured friends and fellow musicians, including Salomon Ramos, JJ on drums, Elena, and Perla. "It came out great, I absolutely liked it. It was hot, but it was fun."

Expanding Her Musical Horizons

While Beatriz Gonzalez is known for her Mariachi music, she is also exploring other genres and styles. In addition to the release of "Quédate," she has also recently put out an EP titled "Mis Favoritos (Corridos)." "I'm still working on Mariachi music, and I have a Corridos EP that came out before this single. I'm also working on more songs in the style of 'Quédate,' and I'm excited about that because those are also songs that I wrote," she shared.
