In the crisp chill of early February 2025, the community of Salt Lake City was shaken by the untimely loss of Liam Higgins. At just 29 years old, Liam’s vibrant presence came to an abrupt end on February 15th. Born into a family filled with love and warmth, Liam quickly became known for his gentle spirit and unwavering kindness. His passion for life was evident in everything he did—from curating eclectic Spotify playlists to indulging in fiery hot wings. As he grew older, Liam discovered a calling that resonated deeply within him: working with children, especially those with autism. His natural rapport with these children was nothing short of remarkable. They gravitated toward him, sensing his patience and genuine care. In this role, Liam found joy in building meaningful connections, tailoring his approach to meet each child's unique needs.

Liam’s love for music was another defining aspect of his character. Whether strumming chords on his guitar or drumming along to his favorite tunes, music provided him solace and a means of expression. He had a talent for bringing people together through song, much like he did with his warm and kind personality. Even in recreational softball, Liam’s team spirit shone brightly. His coach often remarked on how Liam brought a childlike joy and enthusiasm to the game, reminding everyone why they loved it in the first place.

Liam is survived by his mother, Tracey Higgins; his siblings, Maggie and Aidan; his grandmother, Carole Kasprzyk; his aunt, Karen Kasprzyk; and cousins Christian and Travis Grimm. His memory will be honored in a service held on March 7th, 2025, at Community Christian Fellowship in Edmonds, Washington. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite flannel shirts as a tribute to Liam’s love for the grunge style.

Liam’s absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. Yet, his kindness and compassion continue to inspire those who knew him.
