Miramax Appoints Alix Jaffe as President of Television to Drive Global Expansion
2025-03-11

Industry veteran Alix Jaffe has been named the new President of Television at Miramax, effective March 31. This appointment marks a significant shift in the company's leadership following Marc Helwig's departure earlier this year. Jaffe will lead television operations across multiple continents and collaborate closely with CEO Jonathan Glickman. With an impressive background in television development and production, Jaffe brings extensive experience from Village Roadshow Entertainment Group and CBS Studios. Her role involves overseeing existing intellectual properties and fostering innovative storytelling to elevate Miramax's global presence.

Jaffe’s career spans over two decades in the entertainment industry. Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President of Television for Village Roadshow Entertainment Group, where she managed scripted content and revitalized classic franchises like Nash Bridges. Prior to joining Village Roadshow in 2019, Jaffe was President of Amigos de Garcia, a CBS Studios-based production company. She played a pivotal role in producing hit shows such as The Guest Book and The Millers. Earlier in her career, she held key positions at CBS, overseeing popular series including Under the Dome, Blue Bloods, and How I Met Your Mother.

In her new capacity, Jaffe will manage teams based in Los Angeles, London, and Doha. Mirsada Abdool Raman, Senior Vice President of Television Development at Miramax, will report directly to Jaffe. Glickman expressed confidence in Jaffe's ability to leverage Miramax's iconic library and drive forward the company's mission to deliver high-quality content. He highlighted her unique blend of creative acumen and talent relationships as assets that would significantly enhance Miramax's global business.

Jaffe’s vision aligns with Miramax’s commitment to bold storytelling and original content. She aims to push boundaries and create narratives that resonate globally. Miramax’s current television lineup includes the critically acclaimed The Gentleman, which has been renewed for a second season by Netflix. Additionally, the company has acquired stakes in successful Netflix series such as Zero Day and Wednesday, further solidifying its position in the streaming market. Jaffe’s leadership is expected to propel Miramax into a new era of innovation and excellence in television production.

Jaffe’s arrival at Miramax heralds a promising future for the company’s television division. Her expertise and passion for storytelling are poised to transform Miramax’s approach to content creation. By tapping into both established IP and fresh ideas, Jaffe intends to craft compelling narratives that captivate audiences worldwide. This strategic move underscores Miramax’s dedication to maintaining its reputation as a leader in the entertainment industry.
