The Great Busk, scheduled for June 6 near Gallery 5 in the city's Arts District, invites musicians of all genres and ages to participate in this community-focused competition. Organized by Capaz-It, the event combines street performances with fundraising efforts aimed at supporting local causes.

This one-day extravaganza will feature selected performers delivering captivating 15-minute sets, during which they can collect donations through personalized QR codes. Funds raised from these performances will support two worthy organizations: the Eva Stitt School for Newcomers for adult performers and Music Orchard Richmond for younger participants. This initiative not only highlights artistic talent but also fosters community spirit.

Participants are encouraged to apply before the deadline on May 29. Artists will be chosen based on their musical prowess, originality, stage presence, and alignment with the event's core values of creativity and community engagement. Youth performers have the option to present a single set if preferred. The top three earners will earn the opportunity to perform on Gallery 5’s main stage later in June.
