A Unique Musical Journey: Jason Wolfgang's Biblical Concert Experience
2025-02-22

On February 16, McCordsville resident Jason Wolfgang presented a one-of-a-kind concert experience titled “A New Way.” This innovative musical event combined faith, personal passion, and volunteerism to create an immersive journey through the Old Testament prophets leading up to the birth of Jesus and his resurrection. The performance at Outlook Christian Church marked the debut of Wolfgang’s 65-minute composition, featuring 15 original songs intertwined with Scripture and video presentations. Through this unique blend of music and biblical study, Wolfgang aims to offer hope and fulfillment in times of uncertainty.

Wolfgang, a software product manager and father of three, has been deeply involved in worship ministry for two decades. His interest in connecting the Old Testament to the story of Jesus began in 2012 when he embarked on a chronological Bible study. Over the years, he meticulously organized the teachings of the Old Testament prophets, eventually turning his insights into a musical project during the pandemic. “A New Way” is divided into two volumes: Volume One explores themes from Joel, Amos, Hosea, Micah, and Nahum, while Volume Two delves into Isaiah and bridges the Old and New Testaments.

The creation of “A New Way” was no small feat. It took Wolfgang approximately 13 months to compose the music, over two years to record it, and another year to rehearse with a live band. Despite the challenges, Wolfgang remains dedicated to sharing his work with other faith communities. He envisions performing at churches across the region, offering free programming that helps people understand the deeper meaning behind the Christmas story and the message of redemption.

Senior Minister Rob McCord of Outlook Christian Church praised Wolfgang’s efforts, highlighting his talent and humble spirit. McCord was personally moved by the concert, finding it a powerful reminder of God’s love and unwavering grace. Wolfgang’s work not only resonated with the audience but also inspired those who attended to reflect on their own faith journeys. With plans to continue sharing his music and message, Wolfgang hopes to bring hope and peace to communities in need.
