The arrival of warmer weather signals the beginning of a vibrant season filled with cultural and entertainment events in Oswego. As perennial plants start to emerge, residents and visitors alike eagerly look forward to an array of activities that promise fun and relaxation. One of the most anticipated events is Wine on the Fox, set for May 3-4, followed by Venue 1012’s Summer Event Series from June 5 through September 6.
This year's Wine on the Fox will celebrate its 19th edition at Hudson Crossing Park. The festival offers a delightful experience for all ages, featuring live music, food trucks, and over 100 wine selections from local Illinois wineries. Attendees can enjoy the festivities from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. While entrance is free, wine and craft beer tasting require ticket purchases available online. Guests are also welcome to bring their own food but must adhere to specific beverage guidelines.
Venue 1012’s summer lineup includes a mix of free and ticketed events, kicking off a month after Wine on the Fox. Food vendors and a beverage tent will be present, offering a variety of drinks including beer, wine, soda, and bottled water. Veterans, active military personnel, and children under 17 enjoy complimentary admission to all ticketed events. Concerts and movie nights promise to entertain audiences throughout the summer, showcasing tributes to iconic artists and popular films under the stars. These events not only provide enjoyment but also foster a sense of community and appreciation for the arts.
As the summer unfolds, these events serve as a testament to the vibrant spirit of Oswego. They offer opportunities for people to come together, celebrate local culture, and create lasting memories. By supporting such initiatives, the community strengthens its bonds and promotes a positive environment where everyone can thrive.
