Jacob Hathaway, a trumpet player from Panola College, captivated attendees with his performance at the conference. Over the past two years, he achieved notable success as part of the Community College All-State band, securing top positions consecutively. His long-term goal involves earning a doctorate in music and dedicating his career to inspiring future generations through teaching and conducting bands. This ambition aligns with the mission of fostering musical excellence within the community.

Promoting Music Through Community Involvement

In preparation for National Music Week, the Marshall Music Club aims to engage the community through various events. These include performances and activities in nursing homes, schools, and hospitals. The week will conclude with a Young Artists Concert showcasing diverse talents such as music, poetry, and dance. This event invites public participation to celebrate emerging artists.

A highlight of these efforts will be the Young Artists Concert on May 9 at Summit Global Methodist Church.
