As Hayden began making what she called her "Christmas confetti salad," tragedy almost struck. Carrying a salad bowl in one hand and showing off her bandaged finger to the camera, she recounted how she nearly cut off the top of her finger. This incident, which could have been a career-ending one, did not deter her from continuing to enjoy the salad.The salad itself is a winter delight, featuring radicchio, shaved Brussels sprouts, fried cranberries, Marcona almonds, roast chicken, and goat cheese. Inspiration from Family

When asked about the inspiration behind her cooking journey, Hayden pointed to her mother. Growing up, her mother was a fabulous cook who would make a roast chicken every week and save the wishbone. After dinner, they would pull the wishbone in half, with the person getting the bigger half getting to make a wish. These fond memories in the kitchen with her mother fueled her passion for cooking.
