Holiday Celebrations in a Big Family
During an exclusive conversation while attending the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in New York City on December 13, Jessica revealed that Christmas happens "all sorts of ways" in her family. "We get pulled into that big family celebration, and happily so. We've got a big family, but a big family within a big family," she said. It's a time of coming together and creating memories.When asked about her stepdad Spielberg and Santa Claus, she shared that she had seen "Santa jammies" but not the Santa suit. Capshaw also noted that even though the holiday season is underway, it doesn't mean "time off" for parents. When they went on their first holiday vacation with the kids, they realized that "vacations really aren't vacations. They're family trips." Discussing raising teens, Capshaw shared that her daughters are now old enough to watch Grey's Anatomy. "I remember thinking my children would never watch it because they were so tiny. Now they have friends watching it, and it's become a multigenerational thing," she said. But she also admitted to panicking when her daughters started watching as she realized it's an adult show. "The thing is, they roll with it. But my door is always open for questions," she added.It's a journey of parenting and navigating different aspects of life with her family.
