Johnson's Production Company Expands Partnership with Disney
2025-02-24

A new era of collaboration is set to unfold as Seven Bucks Productions, led by Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia, has entered into an exclusive television deal with 20th Television. This strategic move brings the production powerhouse under the broader Walt Disney Company umbrella. Under this agreement, Seven Bucks will focus on creating a diverse range of content including comedies, dramas, adult animations, limited series, and unscripted shows for various Disney platforms and other unnamed streaming services. The partnership promises to bring innovative storytelling to audiences across multiple channels.

Beyond television, Seven Bucks Productions continues to expand its horizons in film production. The company is currently working on a live-action remake of Moana, featuring Johnson as the character Maui. Additionally, they have recently completed Red One for Amazon MGM Studios and are preparing to release The Smashing Machine through A24 later this year. This biographical film stars Johnson as former wrestler and MMA fighter Mark Kerr. Looking ahead, fans can also anticipate new installments in the Fast & Furious franchise from Universal and the third Jumanji remake from Sony.

The Rock's return to WWE television was nothing short of electrifying. During a recent episode of WWE SmackDown in New Orleans, Johnson rekindled his connection with wrestling fans, announcing that WrestleMania will grace the city in 2026. In a dramatic turn of events, he addressed Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, praising him as a formidable champion. Johnson proposed an alliance, suggesting it could help Rhodes achieve even greater success. However, he also issued a challenge, asking Rhodes to consider the offer and provide an answer at the Elimination Chamber event. This moment highlights the enduring influence of The Rock in both entertainment and sports arenas, setting the stage for future exciting developments.
