Kate Hudson, a renowned figure in the entertainment industry, is truly getting into the Christmas spirit. This festive season, on December 1st, the 45-year-old Almost Famous star marked the start by purchasing a lovely Christmas tree with her 6-year-old daughter Rani. She shared a delightful reel on Instagram, which showcased the mommy-daughter duo along with Rani's father, her fiancé Danny Fujikawa, who is 38 years old. They also bought some decorative wooden reindeer and snowmen. In her cozy video caption, she wrote, "And so it begins!!! My favorite time of year," accompanied by snowflake and snowman emojis and the hashtag #haveyourselfamerrylittlechristmas. The clip was set to the holiday tune "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," sung by the actress-turned-singer herself.
Holiday Outfit and Family Bonding
For the New York City outing, Hudson bundled up against the winter chill in a navy blue trench coat, paired with a furry hat and chunky boots. Her fiancé, musician Fujikawa, looked equally snug in a leather jacket and furry hat, while Rani wore a multi-colored, leopard-print fleece and jeans. This family outing not only showcased their festive spirit but also highlighted the strong bond among them.Christmas Shopping and Thanksgiving Celebrations
After the Christmas tree purchase, Hudson's Christmas shopping continued. She shared an insight into the family's Thanksgiving celebrations on November 29th. Through a carousel of images, she showed herself, Fujikawa, and Rani walking in the rainy New York streets and a gorgeous table setting for Thanksgiving dinner featuring a full charcuterie spread. Rani also picked out some adorable wooden decorations. She captioned her post as "A beautiful rainy love-filled NYC Thanksgiving."Blended Family Insights
In May, Hudson opened up to PEOPLE about her blended family. She has son Ryder, 20, with ex-husband Chris Robinson and son Bingham, 13, with former fiancé Matt Bellamy. She said, "It might not look traditional from the outside, but on the inside I feel like we’re killing it." Regarding co-parenting, she added that the unit she has created with three children and three different fathers is a seriously strong one and it's theirs. Hudson also mentioned that son Ryder is "very happy" in college and she and Robinson just need to check in once in a while. As for Bellamy, she said he is "so wonderful" and she "couldn't have asked for a better co-parent."
