On the December 16th episode of "Live with Kelly and Mark", Keira Knightley joined the hosts. When Knightley mentioned not bringing her daughters on the press tour, Ripa shared her experience. "They’re with my family. They’re having a lovely time. I’m here with my husband," Knightley said. Then Ripa quipped, "Careful, dear, that’s how we got pregnant with number 3. We went away." Knightley playfully replied, "No, he’s not coming anywhere near me."This shows the light-hearted banter between the hosts and the guests. It also gives a glimpse into their personal lives. The couple, who have been married for 28 years, share three children: Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 21. They often talk about their family on their ABC morning show. For example, on the December 13th episode, Ripa revealed how she got the kids to agree on a holiday card photo. "What I did was, I sent my kids a picture of Madonna and me and her children and I said, ‘This is the family Christmas card this year unless you approve of the three of you in a photo of your dad and me. Here are your options.’" Consuelos added that they all responded quickly and literally said, "Do whatever you want." So, Ripa used Madonna and her kids in the holiday card.Earlier that week, the couple showed Architectural Digest their New York City townhouse in a video tour. They unveiled three giant eyeball paintings installed in the hallway outside their bedroom. Consuelos said, "By the way, those are our kids’ eyes. They don’t live here anymore, so when we leave our bedroom it feels like they’re still with us." Ripa chimed in, "And I could stare at my kids’ eyes forever. I just think they’re great."In their April 2023 cover story, Ripa told PEOPLE what she saw her kids doing in the future. Michael talks about it constantly. When they told the kids Mark was [co-hosting], Michael was like ‘I would have been perfect for that!' Ripa also shared that Lola had expressed interest in hosting. She and Live executive producer Michael Gelman’s daughter Jamie "for years have said that they were going to take over."However, Live television might not be the right thing for Joaquin. Consuelos explained, "Joaquin’s a little reserved. But he would turn it on. He’s a drama student and he could turn it on for that hour, but I think he probably wouldn’t want to do that."Live with Kelly and Mark airs weekday mornings on ABC (check local listings).
