Kevin and Danielle Jonas on 15 Years of Marriage: 'Still Learning Each Other'
2024-12-13
After a remarkable 15 years of marriage, Kevin and Danielle Jonas have become experts in the art of lasting love. Their story began on December 19, 2009, in Long Island, New York, and since then, they have welcomed two precious daughters into their lives. Despite their busy schedules, Danielle shares how her love for her husband remains as strong as ever.

Holiday Partnership with Lowe's

During a conversation about their recent collaboration with Lowe's to prepare for the holiday season, Danielle humorously tells PEOPLE, "When he's away, I tell him, 'I hate that I still love you this much.'" Kevin Jonas chimes in, confirming the truth of her words. He often travels for work and comes home for just a day, only to leave again that night to see their children and Danielle. This brief visit disrupts their routine, leaving her both happy to see him and longing for his absence once more.

Kevin explains, "It's about communication. Even though we're good and bad at it, we're still constantly learning about each other. After 15 years, we both change." Danielle adds, "It's about wanting to work at it. You can't be willing to give up."

Looking Forward to the Holiday Season

The couple is now excited to spend the holiday season at home with their two kids, as their work obligations have come to an end for the year. Kevin shares, "I can just wake up and not have a plan. Not having a plan is the best plan."

Although their anniversary is still a few days away, they celebrated early with a dinner and an overnight stay in New York City. While on their date night, their daughters sent them texts throughout the night, expressing their longing for them to come home. Danielle shares, "We get texts all night, like, 'We miss you' [and] 'Are you sure you can't come home?'" Kevin admits, "At least they want us home."

Maintaining a Happy Partnership

For a couple pulled in many directions, communication is a key factor in maintaining a happy partnership. Kevin emphasizes, "If you really think about it, communication is essential. We're constantly evolving and changing, and being able to communicate openly helps us navigate through those changes."

Danielle agrees, "It's about making the effort to understand each other and work through the challenges together. Our 15 years of marriage have taught us that it's worth it to keep fighting for our relationship."
