Khloé Kardashian: Wanting a Sibling for Daughter True Due to Dad's Death
2024-12-04
In a recent interview with Bustle, Khloé Kardashian, the 40-year-old co-founder of Good American, opened up about her deep desire for her daughter True, who is 6 years old, to have a sibling. The idea took on a significant meaning for her when her dad passed away. As she shared with the outlet, "Not to be morbid, but when my dad passed, my mom - regardless of how incredible and amazing she is - she couldn't understand the pain we felt. And so for True, I was like, 'I need her to have someone.' It's just inevitable that both of her parents at some point will go. And I just need her to have that support system."
Understanding the Importance of a Sibling
Khloé Kardashian emphasized the significance of having a sibling in one's life. She believes that it provides a crucial support system, especially in the face of inevitable life events such as the loss of a parent. This realization led her to strive for True to have a brother or sister. In her own words, "I've seen how having a sibling can make a world of difference. It's not just about having someone to play with; it's about having that constant companion through life's ups and downs. I want True to have that sense of security and love that only a sibling can offer."The Impact on Her Kids
Elsewhere in the interview, Kardashian noticed how her two children - daughter True and son Tatum, who is 2 years old and shared with ex Tristan Thompson - are starting to mirror some of her ultra-organized mannerisms. She shared, "Sometimes my kids will want to line their toys up a certain way, and then I feel bad because I'm like, 'Oh gosh, they're mirroring what I'm doing.' It's a fascinating thing to witness as a parent."This observation made her realize the influence she has on her children and the importance of being a good role model. She said, "I've learned that I need to be more mindful of my actions and how they might be affecting them. It's a constant reminder to be the best version of myself for their sake."Giving Yourself Grace
Kardashian also shared how having kids has taught her the importance of giving herself grace. Before having children, she struggled with seeing things clearly and often put a lot of pressure on herself to be perfect. But now, she understands that it's okay to show a messy room or make mistakes. As she put it, "I had that challenge a lot more before I had kids. It was really hard for me to see it as clearly as I do now. I've learned that it's important to be kind to myself and not expect everything to be perfect all the time. My kids deserve to see a mom who is human and makes mistakes, just like they do."Halloween with the Kids
This Halloween, Kardashian shared precious photos on Instagram of her two kids and her niece Dream. In one group photo, she could be seen wearing a cat costume, posing with the three little ones who smiled in front of her. True dressed as Evie from the "Descendants" movie franchise, with a two-piece red jacket and skirt, along with a blue wig and crown. Her brother Tatum went as a cat, matching his mom. Dream opted for a blow-up alien costume and stood with her aunt and cousins in the snap.Kardashian wrote in her caption, "Happy Halloween!! The costumes changed for the kids a few times this year. I'm simply happy that Halloween is over and I can be in my Christmas feels. Bring on Santa!!!" These photos captured the joy and fun of the holiday with her family.
