A magnificent peacock named Bob has taken the community of Milford Township by storm after an unexpected escape from a local farm. Residents across the area have been treated to rare sightings of this majestic bird, turning him into a beloved local figure. Since his unplanned departure, Bob has graced numerous backyards and farms, leaving a trail of admiration in his wake.
The journey of Bob began when Debbie Foster, owner of D&D Farms, accidentally released the peacock while tending to a sinus issue. "He startled me and took off into the woods," Foster recounted. Over the past few weeks, Bob's escapades have become the talk of the town, with dozens of residents spotting him and sharing their encounters on social media. The community embraced the bird warmly, bestowing upon him the affectionate nickname "Bob." Foster noted that she received around 50 calls reporting Bob's whereabouts, often near farms or residential bird feeders.
Though delighted by the public's enthusiasm, Foster hopes to reunite Bob with his home soon. Diana Ellis, one of the lucky residents to encounter Bob, described her surprise at seeing the large bird perched on her backyard railing. Her experience highlights how Bob has brought joy and excitement to those who cross his path. While Foster appreciates the community's support, she urges anyone who spots Bob to refrain from attempting to capture him and instead contact her directly. This story exemplifies how a single unexpected event can bring a community together, fostering connections and shared experiences through the charm of a wandering peacock.
