Dominic Weaver, originally from Louisville, Kentucky, had been evading authorities for over a decade. Detectives from Jefferson County’s child support division swiftly traveled to Florida to escort him back to Louisville, where he currently resides behind bars at Louisville Metro Corrections.

Weaver's legal troubles stem from flagrant non-support and a probation violation tied to an unspecified felony offense. Records indicate that as of 2021, he owed more than $99,000 in overdue child support payments. In 2019, he received a five-year probation sentence for failing to provide financial support, which was scheduled to conclude in October of this year. Jefferson County Attorney Mike O’Connell expressed frustration, stating that Weaver fled the jurisdiction without making any contributions toward child support since his sentencing. Additionally, Weaver faces four cases related to child support, with two potentially leading to new felony indictments. O’Connell plans to request the court to revoke Weaver's sentence and impose a four-year term in state penitentiary. Weaver is set to appear in court on January 6, 2025.
