Martha Stewart Welcomes New Feline Companion to Her Vibrant Household
2025-01-17

Renowned lifestyle icon Martha Stewart has recently expanded her family by adopting a new feline friend. The 83-year-old entrepreneur introduced Magnolia, a four-year-old silver-shaded Persian cat, via an Instagram post on January 17th. This adoption marks the beginning of a new chapter for both Stewart and her newest furry companion. Through her connection with Rock N’ Rescue Pets, a non-profit organization in Bedford Hills, New York, Stewart found Magnolia, who was waiting for her forever home. Stewart expressed her enthusiasm about meeting this special cat after hearing so much about her through texts and emails over the past month. Without hesitation, she scheduled a visit and brought Magnolia back to Cantitoe Corners, her farm in Katonah, NY, where she now resides among a diverse array of animals.

Magnolia joins a lively household that already includes various pets such as Chow Chows, French bulldogs, Bengal cats, peacocks, chickens, horses, donkeys, and geese. Stewart’s affection for Persians is well-known, and she described Magnolia as having golden-copper eyes and a friendly demeanor. This addition comes nearly nine months after the passing of Empress Tang, another beloved Persian cat who had been part of Stewart's life since 2009. Empress Tang lived a full life, even modeling for Martha Stewart Living and PrettyLitter. In 2022, Stewart also faced the tragic loss of Princess Peony, Empress Tang’s sister, in an unfortunate accident involving her dogs. Despite these losses, Stewart remains committed to providing loving homes for animals in need.

Welcome home, Magnolia. Pet adoption not only brings joy and companionship but also underscores the importance of giving animals a second chance at a happy life. Stewart’s decision to adopt reflects her dedication to animal welfare and serves as an inspiring example for others. By embracing adoption, she highlights the positive impact it can have on both the adopter and the adopted, fostering a community of compassion and care.
