AJ Michalka's Solo Journey
AJ Michalka was originally set to perform with her sister Aly, but with Aly's recent childbirth, AJ decided to go solo. This challenge brought out a new side of her as a solo artist. She sang "Lose You to Love Me" by Selena Gomez and shared her experiences. "Initially, we planned to do it together, but scheduling was tricky. I wanted to challenge myself and see how far I could go. And I'm really proud of myself," she said. Her favorite performance was "I Hope You Dance," dedicated to her mother.She also faced the pressure of performing under a heavy mask. "I didn't realize how hard it would be, but I did it. This is where I'm supposed to be," she added.
The Buffalos' Story
The Buffalos have come a long way in the competition. They sang "Africa" by Toto and shared their journey. "We worked hard to get here. We were constantly told we should be something else, but we didn't listen. Staying true to ourselves was the key to our success," they said. Their children's love for singing gives them a real reason to keep going.They also had a friendship bracelet clue for Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg. "We go way back with Donnie. And with you too," they shared.
The Wasp's Quest
The Wasp has found a new sense of power as a performer. Singing "Beautiful Things" by Benson Boone, they shared words of inspiration. "Remember your power. Keep dreaming and believe in yourself. No matter how many times you fall, you can get up and fly again," they said. Their journey started with a talent show signed up by their mom.They had a friendship bracelet clue for Robin Thicke. "We had a blast in Nashville. Do you remember?" they recalled.
In the Semi Finals, Wasp earned the top votes and advanced to the finals, while Buffalos and Strawberry Shortcake had a close battle. Strawberry Shortcake was eliminated, but her journey was memorable.The season features 15 contestants in new costumes, each with their own story. From Ship to Leaf Sheep, Woodpecker to Chess Piece, these celebrities are unmasked on "The Masked Singer" Season 12.
New this season, clues are strategically embedded in costumes, song choices, and on-stage moments. And with a celebrity Masked Ambassador, the competition is more exciting than ever.Back for Season 12 are host Nick Cannon and panelists Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Robin Thicke. Ora also returned to fill in for Nicole Scherzinger.
