On Monday, December 9th, the 33-year-old Fight Night actress, Briah Nelson, received a life-altering proposal from her now-fiancé, Dexter Darden. The couple's friends captured the special moment and shared it on Darden's Instagram Stories. A backyard proposal was staged, complete with an arch of red and white roses, a light-up sign reading "Will you marry me?", and a backdrop of beautiful green hills, houses, and trees. Wearing a simple white sweater and red leather pants, Nelson covered her face with her hands in disbelief as the Maze Runner franchise alum, dressed in a white sweater and black pants, got down on one knee and opened a wooden ring box to reveal a dazzling diamond ring.

Words of Gratitude at the Proposal

Actor Iman Crosson shared a video on Instagram where Nelson expressed her gratitude. She said, "It has been such a ride this past year and a half, in the best way. And I'm so grateful, not only for this man, but for all of you. Because if it wasn't for all of you, I feel like this wouldn't be possible." Dexter Darden chimed in, "Everyone here has played a part in this union, in some way, shape or form, and it's held us up through every trial and tribulation."

Both Darden and Nelson are usually private about their relationship's personal aspects. However, in September, Nelson shared a post on her Instagram account featuring photos of them attending the premiere of Fight Night, where Darden starred as boxing legend Muhammad Ali.
