Miley Cyrus, the renowned Grammy winner, is deeply grateful to Pamela Anderson for sharing the success of her latest project. Cyrus recently released her new single “Beautiful That Way,” which was crafted and recorded for Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl on December 9. This song’s release came shortly after it was nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Original Song – Motion Picture category.

After Cyrus’ nomination was announced, she took to Instagram to express her gratitude. She wrote, “It’s an honor to be nominated for Best Original Song alongside my friends and collaborators Andrew Wyatt and Lykke Li at the Golden Globes & Critics Choice Awards. Pamela is graciously sharing her moment with us. I am continuing to root for her; it’s so fun to watch her shine.” Cyrus’ latest single was co-written with producers Lykke Li and Andrew Wyatt. She shared with Variety, “Pamela is deeply embedded into my earliest memories with my mother. We both worshipped Pam and still do. I took the emotion I have towards those times with my mom and the few times we’ve gotten to spend with Pam. I thought a lot about what this film means to her not just as an actress but as the special person that she is. Anderson was also nominated for a Golden Globe for her work in the film. In her statement obtained by PEOPLE, she expressed her gratitude and gave Cyrus, Li, and Wyatt a shout-out. In The Last Showgirl, Anderson plays Shelly, a soft-spoken Las Vegas dancer at a crossroads. The hotel that hosts her long-running show announces it will end after decades, and she begins to struggle with what her future holds. She also attempts to repair her relationship with her daughter, played by Lourd.The Last Showgirl is in select theaters on Friday, December 13, before expanding in January. The Golden Globes air live on Sunday, January 5, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
