The movie has received rave reviews, with a critic score of 86%, which is quite impressive for a Netflix original. Its debut at #1 indicates the high level of audience interest. As we get closer to Christmas, it's interesting to note that the number of Christmas movies at the top of the list seems to be decreasing. While Netflix may not have the most extensive Christmas movie selection, its one-off productions about women in small towns meeting attractive men have a dedicated fan base.
Lindsay Lohan has also joined the fold, starring in a few of these Christmas movies, and her entries have always been well-received. This year's "Our Little Secret" was even #1 a week or two ago.
After writing this article, I'm convinced to watch "Carry-On" with my family tonight. Based on the reviews and the talented cast, it seems like a solid thriller that will be worth two hours of our time. I'll be sure to report back on my experience once I finish it.
