A New Era of Cinema Experience Arrives in Little City
2025-04-16

A state-of-the-art movie theater is set to transform the cinematic landscape in the Little City. Paragon Theaters, a renowned entertainment company, is preparing to unveil its latest venue featuring seven screening rooms, dining options, and a bar. This two-story complex, designed to accommodate over 600 guests, aims to recreate the charm of classic neighborhood theaters while integrating cutting-edge technology. Scheduled to open in May, the theater will offer an immersive experience with unique seating arrangements, special events, and affordable ticket promotions for families and cinephiles alike.

Paragon Theaters’ new establishment at 112 Founders Avenue represents a blend of nostalgia and modernity. CEO Michael Whalen emphasizes the vision behind this project: reviving the golden age of cinema through intimate settings and advanced amenities. Patrons can enjoy their films in either standard seats or luxurious heated recliners known as "Lux Box" configurations, available singly or in pairs. These premium seats allow guests to order food and beverages directly using QR codes, enhancing convenience during screenings. Technologically, the theater boasts Dolby Atmos surround sound and massive "Axis15 Extreme" screens measuring approximately 65 feet wide, tilted slightly to minimize eye strain and maximize visual enjoyment.

The official launch date is Thursday, May 22, following a soft opening on May 17-18. During these initial days, audiences can look forward to Disney's live-action adaptation of "Lilo and Stitch" alongside the thrilling installment "Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning." To sweeten the deal, every ticket purchase includes complimentary parking, making attendance even more appealing. Families will find particular value in the summer promotion offering children's movies at just $2 starting in June, alongside a recurring $5 Ticket Tuesday discount available to all visitors.

Beyond regular film screenings, Paragon plans to host diverse activities such as sports broadcasts, curated film festivals, and sensory-friendly movie nights catering to various community interests. As Paragon's sole Virginia location, it joins four other theaters in Florida and one in North Carolina under the company's management. To staff this ambitious venture, a recruitment event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 26.

With its innovative approach to cinema presentation, Paragon Theaters promises not only to entertain but also to enrich the cultural life of Little City. By combining traditional ambiance with contemporary features, the theater invites residents and visitors alike to rediscover the magic of movies in a setting tailored for comfort and engagement.
