The Bravo! Vail Music Festival, a renowned classical music event, has once again demonstrated its significant economic impact on the Eagle County region and the state of Colorado. According to a new report, the 37th annual summer festival, held from June 20 to August 1, 2024, generated a staggering $39.4 million in direct economic impact, solidifying its position as a key driver of the local economy.

Orchestrating Economic Growth in the Rockies

A Resounding Financial Impact

The $39.4 million figure reflects a remarkable achievement, with $1.4 million in sales tax revenue for all Eagle County towns and the remaining $38 million directly benefiting local businesses. This economic windfall is the result of the spending of 53,178 concert attendees and 403 musicians during the festival, as revealed by the research conducted by Intercept Insights, a marketing research firm in Avon.

Vail's Vibrant Transformation

The town of Vail itself experienced a significant economic boost, with Bravo! Vail generating $23.8 million in direct economic impact. This included $915,100 in sales tax, $4.7 million spent on food and beverage, and a staggering $13.1 million spent on lodging, accounting for approximately 22,758 room nights. Remarkably, 86% of attendees who live outside of Eagle County said they came specifically for the festival, underscoring its draw as a premier cultural destination.

In addition to its impressive economic impact, Bravo! Vail has also made significant contributions to the local community. The festival provided more than 30 free education and engagement events throughout the Vail Valley, ensuring that everyone in the community had the opportunity to attend high-quality classical music concerts, regardless of their socioeconomic circumstances.
