Two evenings of exquisite chamber music are set to captivate audiences in West Palm Beach this April. The Chamber Music Society of Palm Beach will present a series of concerts at the Norton Museum of Art, bringing together world-class musicians for performances that highlight the brilliance of works by Mozart, Françaix, Schubert, and Farrenc. These events promise to deliver both elegance and innovation, showcasing some of the most celebrated compositions in the chamber music repertoire.

On April 3, an ensemble featuring violinists Arnaud Sussmann and Paul Neubauer, alongside cellist Paul Watkins, will take the stage for a program celebrating the imaginative beauty of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart paired with the rhythmic charm of Jean Françaix. This performance includes Françaix’s String Trio in C Major, Op. 2, as well as Mozart’s Divertimento in E-flat major, K. 563. The trio aims to create an atmosphere of refinement and musical sophistication through their impeccable artistry.

The second concert on April 24 focuses on Franz Schubert's iconic Piano Quintet in A Major, D. 667 “Trout”. Joining forces are violinists Arnaud Sussmann and Milena Pajaro-van de Stadt, cellist Clive Greensmith, bassist Blake Hinson, and pianist Gloria Chien. In addition to Schubert’s masterpiece, the evening features Louise Farrenc’s Piano Quintet No. 1, Op. 30. This combination of classical brilliance and lesser-known gems promises to offer a unique perspective on the evolution of chamber music.

Audiences have the opportunity to experience these extraordinary performances by purchasing single tickets priced at $75. Those interested can secure their seats online or via phone. Through the dedication and skill of these accomplished musicians, the concerts aim to leave a lasting impression on all who attend.

These two evenings represent a celebration of timeless music, inviting listeners to explore the depths of creativity found within chamber compositions. By blending traditional masterpieces with more contemporary works, the Chamber Music Society of Palm Beach continues its mission to inspire and educate through the universal language of music.
