Lisa Barlow, the renowned star of "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City," is defying the norms of aging. At 50 years old, she has shown that age is truly just a number. In a recent interview at Bravo Fan Fest, she opened up about her initial hesitation in revealing her age and how she has now come to embrace this milestone birthday on December 14.From Hesitation to Embrace
During the reunion, while wearing the purple dress from season two and sitting on the couch, Andy Cohen asked her about her age. She thought he would compliment her for looking amazing for her age. But instead, she revealed a number that went public, leaving her shocked and sad. However, she now teases about having a big party and going on a trip to Turks and Caicos if she were to celebrate her birthday in a big way.
She explained that it's a different generation now. One can shave 10 to 15 years off their birthday based on how they feel. For her, it's all about how she feels and not about the number. She and her best friend, who is 55 turning 56, still feel young and fun. "We feel 40 and we don't talk about how old we're turning," she said.
Beauty Beyond Cosmetic Procedures
The Vida Tequila co-founder is proud of her natural look. She praised the stars of Bravo for their beauty and revealed that there is no filler or Botox in her face. She previously shut down rumors of cosmetic work during a fan Q&A on Instagram in October 2021. When a fan asked if she had any work done on her face, she simply replied, "Nope!"
In an interview with the New York Post in October, she opened up about her love of glam. She does glam every single day and has two girls on retainer who only work with her. She also has her favorite hair people who do her hair only for special occasions. She added that she is really good at doing her own hair, so she only does special occasion hair when they are filming, which is almost every day.
Embracing Her True Self
Lisa Barlow's journey to embracing her 50th birthday is not just about her appearance but also about her attitude. She shows that one can feel young and vibrant at any age. Her story serves as an inspiration to others who may be hesitant about getting older. She proves that beauty comes from within and that one can still be fun and cool even as they age.
As she continues to shine on "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City," her message of self-acceptance and embracing one's true self resonates with viewers. She is a true role model for those who are afraid to show their age and embrace the changes that come with it.
