Scottish Police Continue Search for Missing Triplets Near River Dee
2025-01-21

In Aberdeen, Scotland, authorities are intensifying efforts to locate Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, two sisters who vanished under mysterious circumstances on January 7. The last known sighting of the 32-year-olds was captured by CCTV cameras near the Victoria Bridge over the River Dee in the early hours of that morning. A chilling text message sent from Henrietta’s phone at the exact moment they were seen indicated that they would not be returning to their apartment. Since then, there has been no activity on their phones, and their personal belongings remain untouched in their flat. Police have appealed for public assistance as they focus their search around the river area.

The story of Eliza and Henrietta began to unfold when they were first spotted on camera on January 6, around late afternoon. The footage shows the sisters visiting the same bridge where they would later disappear. Both were carrying backpacks during this visit. Officers noted that the pair spent about five minutes at the footpath but did not interact with anyone else. Afterward, they made their way through the city center via Union Square shopping center before returning to their residence on Charlotte Street. According to police, there is no indication that the sisters left their flat again until just before their final sighting near the river.

Authorities have described Eliza and Henrietta as being of slim build with long brown hair. They hail from Hungary and are part of a set of triplets, along with their sister Edit. Superintendent David Howieson revealed that investigators have reviewed extensive CCTV footage from both public and private sources. Despite the busy nature of the area, the sisters did not engage with anyone during their visits. Police emphasize that while the investigation continues, there is no evidence suggesting any criminal activity or foul play.

Law enforcement officials are urging anyone who may have encountered the sisters or noticed anything unusual to come forward. The focus remains on the River Dee vicinity, where search teams, including divers, have been deployed. Authorities are committed to exhausting all leads in hopes of finding the missing women and providing closure to their family and community.
