The film is set to be released under the distributor’s horror banner, Dread, during the summer season. This ensemble cast includes Ariel Winter, Ashley Argota Torres, Brielle Barbusca, Sterling Beaumon, Luke Benward, Jack Griffo, Khylin Rhambo, and Kara Royster. The plot revolves around Annie, portrayed by Winter, who embarks on a frantic mission to rescue her best friend after she mysteriously vanishes during a surprise birthday video call. As Annie delves into her friend's digital footprint—reviewing calls, texts, and social media—she uncovers unsettling secrets from her friend's past.

The Baer brothers aimed to capture a pivotal era marked by heavy reliance on technology. They chose to blend screen-life elements with traditional filmmaking techniques to create an innovative suspense thriller that challenges the boundaries of the genre. The production process involved a collaborative effort between the Baer brothers, Winter, Beaumon, Benward, Nicole Smolen, Austin Seltzer, and Todd Slater of Brick Lane Entertainment.
