Shimmer Media, founded by Pascal Dalton, a veteran of the television industry, seeks to leverage his extensive experience and international network to offer an innovative approach to format optimization. Dalton's background spans over a decade in senior roles at ITV Studios and Endemol Shine Group, where he played pivotal roles in expanding some of the most recognizable format brands globally. Dalton brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous role as Head of Brand Partnerships at ITV Studios, where he was responsible for managing 26 territories and overseeing the success of high-profile formats like Love Island and I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here. His tenure at ITV Studios also involved collaborating closely with production companies across key markets such as the US, UK, Germany, France, and Australia. Prior to this, Dalton spent eight years at Endemol Shine Group, rising to become Regional Sales Director for Central and Eastern Europe. There, he oversaw the distribution of popular formats such as MasterChef and Big Brother across 20 territories and was instrumental in establishing The Wall production hub in Poland, which became one of Europe’s most successful studio facilities.

The launch of Shimmer Media comes at a time when the television industry is facing unprecedented challenges. However, Dalton sees these challenges as unique opportunities. "The current climate presents us with a chance to rethink how we approach format management," Dalton explained. In addition to his consultancy work, Dalton has already secured several clients for Shimmer Media. These include All3 Media International, where he serves as a formats consultant, Hidalgo Productions, a Bulgarian production company for which he advises on international business strategy, and Inviox Studios, a London-based gaming and animation studio where he holds a fractional role as Chief Business Development Officer. As Shimmer Media officially launches ahead of major industry events like London Screenings and MIPLondon, it is poised to make significant contributions to the international television format market. Dalton's vision is clear: to harness his expertise to support both established companies with existing formats and newer partners with fresh ideas ready to embark on their global journey.
