Her journey from a modest background in Miami to one of the highest judicial positions in the land is truly inspiring. She has shown that with determination and talent, one can achieve great things.

Her work on the Supreme Court has been marked by integrity and a commitment to justice. She has faced numerous challenges but has always remained steadfast in her beliefs. Her presence on the bench has had a profound impact on the legal landscape.

Jackson's appointment is not just about her race or gender; it is about her ability to bring a unique perspective to the court. Her experiences as a former federal public defender have given her a deep understanding of the legal system and the needs of ordinary people.

Broadway Debut: A Dream Come True

The 54-year-old justice will now take to the Broadway stage in a one-night-only walk-on role in the hit musical comedy & Juliet. Producers announced the news on Monday, Dec. 9, and she will appear in the evening show on Saturday, Dec. 14, followed by a talkback with audience members.

This is a fulfillment of a dream for Jackson, who has always had a love for theater. In her New York Times best-selling memoir Lovely One, released in September, she wrote about her aspiration to become the first Black, female Supreme Court justice to appear on a Broadway stage. And now, her dream is becoming a reality.

& Juliet is currently playing at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in New York City. The musical imagines what would happen if Juliet from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet had survived and gotten a second chance at life and love. It features a sea of Max Martin hits and an outstanding cast.

Former Harvard Drama Class with Matt Damon

Jackson's time at Harvard University was also filled with memorable experiences. She revealed that she was in the same Harvard drama class as Academy Award winner Matt Damon, who was a year ahead of her.

The two were paired together to do a scene from Waiting For Godot. Jackson held her own in the scene and even received praise from the professor. "At the end, the professor said, 'Ketanji, you were very good. Matt, we'll talk,'" she said. This experience gave her a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Although Damon didn't remember working with Jackson, he still found the story impressive. His reaction shows the respect and admiration that others have for her talents. Jackson's ability to shine in different fields is a testament to her versatility and determination.
