Thoroughbred Racing's Prestigious Qualifying Series Set to Air on Major Networks
2025-04-24

A prestigious racing series designed to highlight the world's finest thoroughbreds will once again grace television screens across multiple networks in 2025. This year marks the twelfth edition of the "Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series: Win and You’re In," a program that offers automatic qualification for top-tier races leading up to the World Championships. Broadcasts will span NBC, Peacock, CNBC, and FOX, ensuring widespread coverage of these thrilling events.

This year’s series features a diverse lineup of races showcasing the best horses from North America and beyond. The competition begins with the Haskell Stakes at Monmouth Park in New Jersey, airing on NBC and Peacock in July. Subsequent events include August's FanDuel Fourstardave Stakes at Saratoga Race Course, which debuts on FOX, and the Kentucky Downs Turf Sprint, making its television debut in late August on NBC. A climactic weekend in early October will wrap up the qualifying process with races broadcast across both CNBC and NBC, culminating in excitement from tracks in California and Kentucky.

Racing enthusiasts can look forward to extensive programming not only through traditional broadcasters but also via digital platforms like FanDuel TV. These broadcasts provide fans an opportunity to follow their favorite horses throughout the season, ultimately leading to the Breeders' Cup World Championships held at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in November. The enduring partnership between Breeders’ Cup and major networks underscores a shared commitment to elevating the sport and engaging audiences nationwide. As Drew Fleming, President and CEO of Breeders’ Cup Limited, noted, this collaboration ensures visibility and accessibility, fostering a deeper connection between fans and the sport they love.
