In a startling revelation, a multi-agency investigation has led to the arrest of two individuals, Alanza Sibley and Jessie Dennis, who were allegedly involved in a large-scale drug distribution network spanning across two Louisiana parishes. The Tip-Off and Initial Investigation

The investigation began in July 2024 when DEA agents contacted the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office regarding the distribution of large quantities of high-grade marijuana by a group of residents from Hammond, Ponchatoula, and Roseland. This tip-off set in motion a multi-agency effort to uncover the extent of the alleged criminal activities.

Executing the Warrants and Seizing Evidence

On October 15, the TPSO Narcotics detectives, in collaboration with the LPSO, Hammond Police Department, DEA, and Homeland Security investigators, executed search warrants on two homes and a business. At the homes located on Estate Circle in Hammond and Prokop Road in Albany, authorities discovered several pounds of marijuana and other illicit substances. However, the real revelation came when they searched the music studio on South Morrison Boulevard in Hammond.

Uncovering the Music Studio's Dark Secret

Inside the music studio, investigators found a substantial amount of high-grade marijuana, along with materials used for transporting and packaging the drugs. Additionally, they discovered scales and firearms, one of which was reported stolen from St. Helena Parish. The discovery of these items painted a disturbing picture of the studio's true purpose – it was not merely a place for musical expression, but a hub for a sophisticated drug operation.

The Arrests and Charges

As a result of the investigation, Alanza Sibley, 33, and Jessie Dennis, 30, turned themselves in to authorities on October 15. Sibley faces state RICO (racketeering) charges, criminal conspiracy, possession with intent to distribute controlled dangerous substances (CDS), transactions involving drug offenses, and allowing a disorderly place. Dennis, on the other hand, faces state RICO (Racketeering) charges, criminal conspiracy, and possession with intent to distribute CDS.

The Seized Assets and Ongoing Investigation

In total, investigators seized more than $100,000 during the operation, a testament to the scale and profitability of the alleged criminal enterprise. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to unravel the full extent of the drug distribution network and any potential connections to other criminal activities. This case serves as a stark reminder that criminal elements can often operate under the guise of legitimate businesses, exploiting the trust and goodwill of the community. The collaborative efforts of the law enforcement agencies involved have successfully disrupted a sophisticated drug operation and brought the alleged perpetrators to justice, sending a clear message that such illicit activities will not be tolerated.
