It was a place where I could escape and create my own little world. I wanted her nursery to feel like stepping into that garden," Maki shares. The soft green walls and the delicate details in the nursery bring that sense of nature and magic to life.
There are also sentimental pieces that add an extra layer of meaning to the nursery. A vintage Humpty Dumpty doll that was hers as a child now sits in her daughter's nursery, bridging the gap between generations.
Lessons from Motherhood
As a newly minted mom, Maki has learned some important lessons. Motherhood has taught her to embrace imperfection and focus on being present."I've realized that it's not about doing everything 'right.' It's about being with my daughter and experiencing these precious moments. Slowing down has allowed me to see the beauty in every little thing," she says.
