Brandi Glanville Dissolves Fillers Amid Face 'Parasite' Woes
2024-12-14
Brandi Glanville, a 52-year-old alumna of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," is not backing down in her efforts to address her recent health problems. On Friday, December 13th, she revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that she has had all her face fillers dissolved after claims of a "parasite" moving within her face.

Addressing the Health Concerns

Glanville shared this update as she responded to Botched's Dr. Terry Dubrow's public offer to assist with her facial concerns. In a post, she wrote, "I have zero drama with @DrDubrow. I appreciate all the help I can get. We have been in touch and plan to talk. Thank you for all the love." She also added that all the fillers in her face have been dissolved and she has consulted with the best doctors at Cedar Sinai and those they referred her to.The following day, on Thursday, December 12th, plastic surgeon Dubrow told TMZ that he believes Glanville's facial issues are not due to a parasite or something she ate, as she suspected, but rather an infectious process or a foreign body reaction to something she had injected. He suggested that she could be dealing with a type of bacterial infection, such as a Microbacterium or a fungus, which can be very difficult to treat and may require six to 12 months of antibiotics.Dubrow called Glanville's facial issues a "ticking time bomb" that requires immediate surgical intervention. He emphasized that every minute the microorganism stays in her skin and causes potential damage, the more difficult it will be to treat and the more likely she is to form scars and nodules.Glanville previously told Entertainment Tonight that she believes her face issue occurred during her time in Morocco filming "The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip." She claimed that they had food sitting out for hours, including some meat, and six months after returning from Morocco, she started experiencing swelling and other issues. She can even see and feel the unknown "parasite" moving within her face, which looks like "tiny bubbles bursting" on her skin.In addition to dissolving her face fillers, Glanville also had her teeth done, as seen in a photo she posted on her Instagram on Friday. In the snap, she showed off her bright white teeth while smiling alongside Beverly Hills dentist Anjali Rajpal. She wrote in the caption, "Thank you to @beverlyhillsdentalarts for helping to bring back my smile."Glanville's story serves as a reminder that even celebrities face health challenges and the importance of seeking proper medical attention. It also highlights the complexity of some health issues and the need for thorough diagnosis and treatment.
