2024-12-11
Brandi Glanville, a renowned figure from "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," has been on a harrowing journey over the past year. She has dedicated thousands of dollars in a desperate attempt to find a solution to the unknown "parasite" that has caused her facial disfigurement. This has not only taken a toll on her physical well-being but also on her mental state.

Health Struggles and Frustration

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 52-year-old alumna opened up about her health struggles and the growing frustration of not receiving a diagnosis from medical professionals. She revealed that she has seen numerous doctors and undergone countless tests, spending a whopping $10,000 on lab work alone. "They ran every test under the sun, and they're suggesting it could be a new parasite," she said. This year has been a difficult one for Glanville as she has been on medications throughout. She has isolated herself, not socializing or going out, instead pouring all her money into trying to figure out what is wrong with her. The financial burden of medical bills, on top of not working for the past two years, has added to her stress.

Medical Expenses and Temporary Fixes

Glanville disclosed that she has already spent over $70,000, and each treatment she has tried has only provided temporary relief. She expressed her disappointment and admitted that she is constantly stressed about the situation. "I'm not getting my hopes up anymore. Even if it's a tumor, I just want an answer," she said.

Alleged Cause in Morocco

The reality star believes that her health issues stem from her time in Morocco while filming "The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip." She claimed that food was left out for hours, including some meat. Six months after returning, she started experiencing swelling and other symptoms. It all began in July, and she is still trying to find a solution. She can actually feel the unknown "parasite" moving within her face if she touches it, and it appears like "tiny bubbles bursting" on her skin. "It feels like it's doing something in my face," she added.

Transparency and Emotional Turmoil

On December 7, Glanville posted a photo on X (formerly Twitter) showing her facial disfigurement. She decided to be transparent about her health because she was tired of the narrative that she was constantly getting plastic surgery. She explained that she couldn't afford it even if she wanted to. The mean comments and the public scrutiny have taken a toll on her."Everyone thinks I'm tough, but I'm actually very fragile right now. I cry every day. Just leave me alone," she revealed. As 2025 approaches, Glanville hopes to overcome her health struggles. "Health is wealth, and that's all I want," she said.
