Mary Poppins, premiering on Aug. 27, 1964, has truly stood the test of time. This family film captured the hearts of audiences as the magical nanny Mary Poppins, played by Julie Andrews, embarked on a whimsical adventure with Dick Van Dyke's Bert. Together, they brought two children and their parents together, and the movie went on to nab five Oscars, including a Best Actress win for Andrews and Best Original Score and Best Original Song for "Chim Chim Cher-ee" by the Sherman Brothers. Much of the film's charm lies in its ultra-talented cast, many of whom have had illustrious careers beyond the movie.
