Latasha Henderson, a Huntington High graduate, has an impressive portfolio. She has styled dozens of celebrities and has been featured on renowned shows like “The Tamron Hall Show” and even competed on Lifetime’s “Project Runway.” Her work knows no bounds as she has collaborated with the likes of Kanye West, Laverne Cox, and Telma Hopkins. It's astonishing to think that she was the first person from Shreveport, Louisiana, in 20 years of this TV show. This truly put Shreveport on the map.

Henderson's journey in the fashion industry started at a young age. She began designing sneakers in high school and has been doing it professionally since she was 15. Shreveport has been her foundation, and she holds a special place in her heart for her hometown.

Now, this same talented stylist who set a Guinness world record for the longest cape is all set to display her award-winning art in the ArkLaTex. She is hosting a fashion weekend in Shreveport starting on December 14.

The Fashion Weekend in Shreveport

The fashion weekend kicks off on December 14 with a pop-up shop event featuring local Shreveport area vendors and businesses. It will be held at 624 Texas St. in downtown Shreveport, starting at 11 a.m. This is an exciting opportunity for the local community to get a glimpse of Henderson's work.

The second day, December 15, is a fashion-filled extravaganza. Henderson will showcase her new collection, which she has been working on. It's been a while since she presented a collection here, and this feels like a homecoming for her.
