2024-12-16
Yvette Nicole Brown's wedding to Anthony Davis was a truly special event. Surrounded by 200 guests at The Maybourne Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, the couple tied the knot in an "intimate, classy and fun" celebration. This marked the second marriage for Davis and the first for Brown.

Love Finds Its Way at Any Age

Friendship to Love

The couple first met in their twenties and began as friends. However, they lost touch for a few years before rekindling their connection in 2021. This reunion led to a deep and lasting love. Brown emphasizes that it's never too late to find love, as she found hers at the age of 51.It was a beautiful journey for them, and their story serves as an inspiration to many. Their friendship laid the foundation for a love that would blossom and last a lifetime.

The Wedding Day

Brown's wedding day was a dream come true. She chose a modest, mermaid-style gown designed by Ines Di Santo, which she found by chance while at Lovella Bridal in Glendale, California. The dress was customized with two butterflies to honor her and Davis' mothers.Surrounded by blush-colored florals by Eddie Zaratsian and Tic-Tock Couture Florals, her hair styled by Gabrielle Corney and accessorized with a Maria Elena headpiece, and makeup done by Beth Carter using all Danessa Myricks Beauty products and Ardell lashes, she looked absolutely stunning.Davis, on the other hand, wore a custom brown suit from Vinny's Custom Clothes and cufflinks inscribed with a handwritten message from the bride. The wedding was a perfect blend of elegance and joy.

The Emotional Moments

One of the most emotional moments of the wedding was when Davis arranged for Brown's father, who has Alzheimer's disease, to attend the ceremony. This gesture touched Brown's heart and made the occasion even more special. She was also excited to have "all of our friend groups and sides of our families" meeting for the first time. The melding of these families was a moment she was looking forward to with great anticipation.During the cocktail hour, guests enjoyed signature cocktails as harpist Mariea Antoinette performed. Later, they indulged in a four-tiered lemon fantasy and strawberry shortcake adorned with fresh florals by Cake Studio LA.At the reception, DJ Kacy "Mister Wilson" Wilson spun tunes as everyone danced and playfully took pictures in a 360-degree photo booth. Brown and Davis danced to a serenade by their friend, Tony and Grammy winner Leslie Odom Jr., accompanied by Dr. Richard Schectman. They were also surprised by legendary four-time Grammy winner Deniece Williams, who sang her hit "Free."

Relationship Advice

Brown advises single women to be patient and not settle until they find the right person. In her past relationships, she often had to decipher the meaning behind what guys said and did. But with Davis, there were no questions or confusion."He said what he meant. If Tony said he was going to be somewhere, he showed up. If he said he was going to call me, he called me. If I texted him, he texted me right back," she says. Her relationship advice is to wait until you feel that peace and there is no chaos or confusion. When you find the right person, it's a different kind of love that brings security and peace.Brown hopes to continue to love Davis and be his best friend for the next 30 years. She is excited to begin this new chapter in their lives together.People and BRIDES are teaming up to share all the biggest moments from Yvette Nicole Brown and Anthony Davis' dream wedding day.
