Harmonious Melodies: A Free Sacred Music Event in Bella Vista
2025-02-27

A delightful musical journey awaits the community on Tuesday, March 4th at Highland Christian Church. At 2 p.m., the Andante Music Club will present a special program that celebrates divine love through song and instrumental performances. The event promises to be an enriching experience for all attendees, combining traditional hymns with modern arrangements.

The highlight of this afternoon will be the sacred music program titled “Focusing on God’s Love,” under the direction of Martha Sheets. Renowned pianist Garth Smith will captivate the audience with his rendition of “God So Loved the World.” Arlene Biebesheimer will add depth to the performance by reciting heartfelt words from the hymn, “O Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go.” Additionally, a vocal trio composed of Joretta Evans, Hillary Sperry, and Heidi Boyd will harmonize their voices in praise.

An exciting addition to the lineup is the Ecumenical Church Orchestra (ECHO), a 14-member ensemble led by Lois Carlson. Known for their patriotic renditions during national holidays, ECHO brings a diverse range of instruments and musical styles to the stage. They will perform beloved hymns such as “Fairest Lord Jesus” and “How Great Thou Art.” With over two decades of experience, Carlson has been instrumental in shaping ECHO into a respected musical group that performs across various venues in the region.

This free concert offers a wonderful opportunity for people to come together and enjoy the power of music. It serves as a reminder of the unifying force of melodies and lyrics that transcend boundaries. Through such events, communities can foster greater understanding and appreciation for one another, strengthening bonds and promoting peace and harmony.
