Divorce and Its Aftermath

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard and her ex-husband Ryan Scott Anderson have finally completed their divorce. This news arrives eight months after Blanchard filed for divorce in April. The Lafourche Parish Clerk of the Court in Louisiana confirmed the filing.Blanchard announced the couple's separation in a Facebook post on March 28. A friend revealed that the split was due to a heated argument in March and that Blanchard felt her husband was controlling. "He got in her face and screamed," Nadiya Vizier said. "Gypsy said that she was afraid he was going to hit her. It was really scary."Anderson has denied such behavior. Gypsy-Rose now says she extended an offer for a civil conversation for closure purposes and is waiting for a response. She also mentioned that they have worked out their financial disagreements in court.Looking back, Gypsy-Rose realized that her marriage to Anderson wasn't working out. "It was like a shock. I'm married," she said. After some time, she knew it wasn't the kind of marriage she wanted. "It's like settling. You're just doing what everyone else does, but not truly happy."Anderson and Blanchard met while she was in prison. They got married in a jailhouse ceremony in 2022. But three months later, she decided to separate from him.Soon after, Blanchard was seen with her ex-fiancé Ken Urker. They got matching tattoos and reconnected. "I felt a soul connection with Ken. I could be myself," Blanchard added.

Expecting a Baby with Ken Urker

In May, Blanchard announced that she and Urker were expecting their first child together, a baby girl due in January 2025. She held a baby shower in Louisiana with around 25 friends and family members. The name of their baby girl is Aurora Raina Urker.Blanchard recently took a non-invasive prenatal paternity test and confirmed that Urker is the father of her baby. While celebrating the pregnancy, she is also filming a new season of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up and will release her memoir, My Time to Stand, on December 10.During her pregnancy, Blanchard has had some challenges. "I had a great first two trimesters. No morning sickness. But now in the third trimester, I can't sleep or breathe," she said.The couple has spoken about getting married in the future and is focused on being parents and enjoying their relationship. "I'm very open with Ken about my needs. I'm comfortable with him," she said.
