All the "Star Wars" movies and TV shows are readily available on Disney+ or Hulu with a premium subscription. Additionally, the movies can be rented on Amazon Prime Video starting at just $3.79. It's the perfect opportunity to satisfy your "Star Wars" cravings during the winter break.
For diehard fans, the updated versions or "Special Editions" of the original trilogy on streaming offer a unique viewing experience. In the theatrical release versions from 1977 - 1983, there was no CGI. But in 1997, these films were rereleased with more advanced audio and visual elements, including CGI. For instance, in the original "Star Wars" (1977), later renamed "A New Hope", Jabba the Hut was a man instead of a giant space slug.
There are two main ways fans can watch the "Star Wars" films - in chronological order of the release date or chronological order of the episodes. Watching them in episode order (Episode I, Episode II, Episode III, etc.) is straightforward, as this is the order in which they were released in theaters:
"Episode IV – A New Hope" (1977)
"Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back" (1980)
"Episode VI – Return of the Jedi" (1983)
"Episode I – The Phantom Menace" (1999)
"Episode II – Attack of the Clones" (2002)
"Episode III – Revenge of the Sith" (2005)
"Episode VII – The Force Awakens" (2015)
"Episode VIII – The Last Jedi" (2017)
"Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker" (2019)
And these are all the Star Wars TV shows available on Disney+ listed in the order of their release and their place in the Star Wars timeline in reference to the movies Episodes I-IX:
"Star Wars: Ewoks" (1985 - 1986) — Takes place before "Episode VI"

"Star Wars: Rebels" (2014 - 2018) — The show takes place before the events of "Episode IV"
